GVPTA Introduces New Platform for Theatre Performers, Designers, and Manufacturing Professionals — BC Alliance for Arts + Tradition

This week, the GVPTA has launched Hi there, a program that gives a platform for theatre performers, designers, and manufacturing professionals to get on the radar of native theatre hiring personnel. Functions at the moment are open.

Hi there is a variation on GVPTA’s earlier Designers’ Highlight program, which offered a web based platform for administrators and hiring personnel to study theatre designers in search of alternatives.

Primarily based on suggestions from the neighborhood, the Hi there program has expanded to incorporate of us with expertise within the areas of stage administration, manufacturing administration, and technical course, in addition to performers and designers.

The purpose of this system is to supply a possibility for hiring personnel to study theatre staff in search of employment, and to supply them with a way of who every particular person is, each as an individual and as an artist or arts employee.

Profitable candidates might be invited to submit a self-introduction video or audio clip to accompany their resumé and different supplies as a part of a web based profile, viewable by registered administrators, producers, manufacturing managers, and different hiring personnel over a three-month interval.

Candidates could apply to one of many following streams:

  • Theatre Performers

  • Designers: Set, Props, Costume, Sound, Lighting, or Video / Projection

  • Arts Employees: Stage Managers, Manufacturing Managers, or Technical Administrators

Candidates should:

  • Be based mostly in British Columbia;

  • Be in search of work in theatre between now and August, 2024; and

  • Have coaching or work expertise of their indicated self-discipline or discipline of curiosity.
